A little Escapism never hurt, right?

A little Escapism never hurt, right?

If you were to pick a celebrity to act YOU in a movie about your life, who would it be? I could pick Kim Kardashian or one of the Kardashian sisters. I don't why but I love their show. I've once said on a FACEBOOK update, "Don't know why I keep up with the Kardashians because I know they're not keeping up with me!"

Unsure what it is about these girls but something is keeping my interest.

Other actresses I'd pick would be Anne Hathaway or Jennifer Love Hewitt. Those two have real acting experience!

If you were to pick your friends actor's, who would it be? I'd probably pick Julia Stiles to act my best friends role. Then I'm sure I'd pick Ryan Reynolds to act out my boyfriend!

If you were to pick a character in a movie or TV show that best describes you and your life, who would it be?

I'd pick a few shows. I always thought that I was most like RACHEL GREEN from FRIENDS. But, my friends would say I was more of a PHOEBE! Fine by me, that's a compliment, she's hysterical!

Another character I used to relate to was Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City. Even though I'm a bit cynical like Miranda!

If you were to pick a moment in your life that you'd love to script for a movie, when would it be? For me, it'll be when I competed in Fitness Competitions. I'm not 100% sure I'd want to write a story about my entire life, I'd bore the audience!

Celebrity Crush Confession:

Celebrity Crush Confession:

I have a confession to make:

I'm in love with.....(drum roll please)

Ryan Reynolds.

Did any of you see him on Saturday Night Live last Saturday? Oh, I had to watch it.

I don't talk much about it but, I was in NY with...you guessed, Burger and I told him that we had to watch, SNL.

I love every movie this guy is in. Just Friends; Definatly, Maybe. Smokin Aces; now, I'm going to have to watch Wolverine - even though I don't like the X-Men stuff.

I thought my celebrity crush days were over but I guess not. Sometimes, crushing on a celebrity is just a good old fashion escape from reality. Sometimes, it's just plain inevidable. Did I spell that right? Anyway, a woman can't help who we are attracted to. We watch TV and yeah, there are attractive people on television and when one person is always playing in the movies you love to watch...it's just normal to feel loving feelings! I feel like a teeny bopper all over again. Oh HA HA HA. I'm laughing my buns off right now.

Thing is...even guys compliment women. Want to know what's funny? Burger has always mentioned that he thinks Scarlett Johanssen is hot. Well guess what? She is married to Ryan. Now that's a hoot.

In conclusion, for my school project, I decided that I'm casting Ryan Reynolds to play my leading man. I know....I know, Mr. Reynolds may never read my script thats nothing more than a school project but, a girl can dream, right?

And besides, my script might be good enough to sell and if it is, there's no reason to try to send a copy his way. What's the worse that'll happen? He'll never see it?

In my book, he is the hottest Canadien man alive!

MTV's VMA Review

MTV's VMA Review

I watched the MTV Music awards or should I say, the VMA's. First, I do feel a little old to be watching the show, but, it's one of the only shows on MTV I can handle watching; it's the only show that they've had since my teen years when I did love MTV; and the award shows bring out the kid in me.

The pre-show was rather cool. Nowadays, celebrities are showing up in different transportation then stretch limousines. Pink arrived in a fire truck and Taylor Swift arrived in a white pumpkin carriage led by horses, a Cinderella mobile I say.

What was very different about this year's show is that iJustine, (http://tastyblogsnack.com) internet/twitter/you tube and video blogger was recognized and she became MTV's twitter Corresponder. This women blogs and she's paid and then hired by MTV! I may not be the best at video making, but, she still has the coolest job!

The big surprise of the night was not only the opening act to be a Michael Jackson tribute but that Janet Jackson was going to perform. First out was Madonna. She spoke from her heart, choked up but sincere about Michael's life; and about their friendship. I was touched. The performance was a group of dancers, dancing in sync to some of the best of his video's that were playing in the background. When Janet shot out on stage, I didn't recognize her singing voice. However, she performed her heart out.  I'm happy she got up there to perform.

Moving on to the first award of the night, country star Taylor Swift won an award for best female video. She walked up on stage happy shocked and starry eyed to accept her award. She thanked her fans and mentioned that she's "just a country singer so thank you for the opportunity." At that point, Kenye West come up to her, took her microphone and said, "I'm happy for you but Beyonce had the best video of the year." He then ran off the stage and she stood there, embarrassed. I felt so bad for her.

In all honesty, I'm speechless about the situation. I don't know what to say but I seriously hate it when people steal another person's spotlight. I wouldn't be so upset if he would've said something in an interview at a later time but on stage...at the beginning of the show? He was booed all night long and luckily did not win an award.

The weirdness continued when Lady Gaga hit the stage. Somehow, during her show, fake blood was all  over her. She ended the show with her body being hiked in the air, blood all over her face and eyes. Now, I thought her entrance with the weird mask was odd. It sure didn't end there when she accepted her award for Viewer's Choice she wore a red lace mask over her face with a red hat sticking straight up above her head.

One of my favorite performances was certainly Pink; I really think her swinging in the air was different, interesting, unique and original. Not something anyone else would expect.

Beyonce's dream to win performance of the year came true. I've loved her as public figure for years now. I saw her in concert a few years back and she does know how to put on a good show. Her Single Ladies performance was good; probably better than last year when she performed it for the first time. I laughed a little bit when she waved her hand in the air asking, "Where's my ring at?" and wondered if she ever asked Jay-Z that very question in person! I'm sure she has.

The last performance of the evening was by none other than Jay-Z. I'm not so sure I remember when his last album was released but his new one will be out in stores soon enough. He did a performance with Alicia Keys; now this woman's vocals always brings a tear to my eye; I saw her live when she toured with Beyonce and I've kept her on the top of favorite female vocalists since then. I'm not so sure I know the name of the song, but it's probably New York. The fact that Jay-Z is an artist; a producer and music business man is one reason his acts are awesome live.

The trailer for Michael Jackson's documentary about the concert that'll never happen is scheduled to be released this October 28th. It looks like it'll be an amazing show.

MTV has been around for a little over 20 years now; no matter how much it changes as I get older, it is the #1 TV station that puts to pop in pop culture. MTV looks to stay young, fly and in tune with the youth. I understand that all the reality shows are taking over the music videos but I guess that's what the teens want. It's weird; it's funky and sometimes, I wonder if I should watch more of it so I can be a better writer for teens.

This year's show taught me something important and I hope that I can take that lesson and materialize it. I know that sounds weird to others but it makes sense to me.
